In an effort to increase their environmental responsibility and highlight their existing green efforts, the buildings at 205 and 225 N. Michigan Avenue retained McGuire Engineers to perform a Phase I LEED EBOM (Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance) feasibility study.

ENGINEERING HIGHLIGHTS
- The Phase I study included gathering all existing building, occupant and systems information along with all current energy bills, and creating an ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager account and baseline for the building.
- MEPC recommended and performed a Level 2 ASHRAE energy audit, a more in-depth analysis, in order to increase the building’ ENERGY STAR rating above the minimum required for LEED.
- MEPC created a document highlighting the energy improvement strategies recommended for the individual buildings.

THE DAYTON’S PROJECT
The project consists of the renovation and repositioning of the Macy’s building (formerly Dayton’s building) located at 700 Nicollet Mall Minneapolis, Minnesota.

McGuire Engineers, Inc. was hired by 601W Companies in 2015 and has been responsible for the complete renovation of all MEP/FP and Technology infrastructure for the building.

McGuire Engineers was tasked to provide MEP engineering, LEED & Well services for 450,000 SF of office space for Uber corporation.
