ENGINEERING HIGHLIGHTS
- Provided pro bono LEED EB/Energy Star Feasibility study for the Client’s historic building, identifying existing conditions that qualify as LEED credits.
- Recommended additional building and system improvements that would achieve additional LEED EB credits.
- Identified multiple no cost and low cost improvements that would improve the Energy Star rating of the building and demonstrate an increased commitment to environmentally friendly practices.
- Designed a complete renovation of the Rendezvous Dining Room and Carvery Room to meet code requirements and accommodate additional food service equipment.

The project consists of the renovation and repositioning of the Macy’s building (formerly Dayton’s building) located at 700 Nicollet Mall Minneapolis, Minnesota.

McGuire Engineers, Inc. was hired by 601W Companies in 2015 and has been responsible for the complete renovation of all MEP/FP and Technology infrastructure for the building.

McGuire Engineers was tasked to provide MEP engineering, LEED & Well services for 450,000 SF of office space for Uber corporation.
